A Memorandum of Understanding was signed last month between Cochrane Rehabilitation and the European Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine (EARM) to develop and implement joint activities that support and strengthen the use of health evidence. Established in 1969, EARM comprises up to 50 senior PRM specialists across Europe. Academicians are invited based on their distinguished contribution to the specialty, particularly to its humanitarian aspects. The Academy’s aim is to improve all areas of rehabilitation for the benefit of those who need it. It thus promotes education and research across Europe, acting as a hub for scientific, educational and research matters, exchanging ideas and information, facilitating the exchange of PRM doctors between countries and engaging in moral and ethical debate. The MoU was signed at the EARM General Assembly in Helsinki by the Director of Cochrane Rehabilitation, Prof. Stefano Negrini, and the President of EARM, Prof. Xanthi Michail (see photo below).
