Led by Cochrane, co-sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO), and co-organized with partners of COVID-END (COVID-19 Evidence Network to support Decision-making), Cochrane Convenes brought together leaders in health care and evidence synthesis to discuss the global healthcare challenges created by COVID-19. They reflected on their experiences of producing, sharing, and using evidence during the pandemic, with a view to issuing a collaborative call to action on areas identified by the community for improvement. 

Cochrane will use these insights to ensure that it is adequately prepared to respond to future global health emergencies – and to help build an evidence community that is ready to serve all users of evidence wherever they are based in the world.

On February 16, the Call to Action was launched to encourage organizations external to Cochrane to support this project.
