COVID-19 has created a once-in-a-generation need to focus on evidence among governments, organizations, professionals, and citizens. In this pandemic era, a huge demand for evidence is required to address the rapidly evolving challenges, and remarkable efforts are necessary to meet this demand with the best evidence under very tight timelines.
The COVID-19 Evidence Network to support Decision-making (COVID-END), of which Cochrane Rehabilitation is a partner, identified the need for the creation of an Evidence Commission.
To systematize the aspects of producing and using evidence, the Global Commission on Evidence to Address Societal Challenges was convened to support people in this vital work.
On January 27th was released “The Evidence Commission report: A wake-up call and path forward for decision-makers, evidence intermediaries, and impact-oriented evidence producers”, available here.
