The Hungarian Society of Rehabilitation Medicine hosted the spring meeting of the European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ESPRM) and the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) PRM Section and Board in Budapest on March 21–23. Cochrane Rehabilitation’s annual report and prioritization project were presented by our Director Stefano Negrini at both general assemblies.

Every birthday is a moment for celebration and reflection. Today it is the second birthday of Cochrane Rehabilitation, so time to look at what we have achieved till now (see 2017 and 2018 reports). 

The Congress of the Italian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (SIMFER) was held in September in Ancona, Italy.Our Director, Prof. Stefano Negrini, and Coordinator, Dr. Carlotte Kiekens, gave an update on Cochrane Rehabilitation activities to our Italian colleagues.A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with SIMFER President, Prof. Piero Fiore, to increase support for dissemination of Cochrane evidence of Rehabilitation in Italian.

Our experience at the 2018 Cochrane Colloquium!  We really enjoyed the 2018 Cochrane Colloquium! The meeting had 1,275 attendees from more than 57 countries.

Stockholm has just hosted the ESPRM and UEMS PRM Section and Board meeting. During the meeting a Memorandum of Understanding between Cochrane Rehabilitation and UEMS PRM Section and Board was signed to strengthen the already existing collaboration.  

Paris was host last week to the 12th World Congress of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (#ISPRM2018). Cochrane Rehabilitation’s leadership and advisory board attended, along with more than 4,000 rehabilitation professionals from 103 countries worldwide.  ISPRM is an important Cochrane Rehabilitation partner. Most of our advisory board and executive committee members are well known ISPRM leaders.  

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed last month between Cochrane Rehabilitation and the European Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine (EARM)  to develop and implement joint activities that support and strengthen the use of health evidence. Established in 1969, EARM comprises up to 50 senior PRM specialists across Europe.
